We were fortunate to get a studio tour and the chance to sample some of his compositions.

We're guessing you'd pack your cello and head for an internship with Disney in California! Congratulations to a very talented young woman.

What a great way to start the new year! Greg stopped in to show us his new cello. He was kind enough to play a few pieces for us. Fantastic!

Not the Von Trapps

Occasionally, we go to extraordinary lengths to get children engaged in the photography session. Sean, Brendan and Bridget (and dad Bobby) decided a jam session was called for.

Jazz . . . oh yeah!

Jazz has always been a particular favorite of mine, and Bay High does it better than just about any school. Wouldn't you LOVE to hear the music behind these pics?

What She Did

Kathy began the evening of her birthday at the choral concert at the high school where Mark Goins was a featured soloist. A great talent.
The evening progressed to Savannah where the action flows outside on pleasant spring evenings like this one.

Music at its Best

The Bay High School Spring Orchestra concert tonight featured the talents of Caroline Chang, Sean DeLong and the wonderful students of one of the "Best Communities for Music Education in America 2008". This is the sixth consecutive year that the Bay Village district has been awarded that designation based upon a nationwide survey by the NAMM Foundation and several partner organizations in the field of music and education. We're proud to showcase them here tonight.

Savannah Grill

The Savannah Grill is a local bistro featuring lots of live jazz, blues and big band music. Ethan picked tonight to ask Ashley to the prom and she accepted . . .

While history teacher Dave's wife Norma looked on!
The Dan Zola Band was awesome - probably due to music teacher Darren's work on the drums.
Certainly more than enough to get the crowd swingin'!

Ballroom Blitz

Bay High held the 16th Annual Ballroom Blitz fund raiser tonight. Student performers and lots of donated gifts for the silent auction. Wonderful fun as always.
Darren and Alice came even though their new addition is due next month!

At Mojo's

Saturday evening at Mojo's, the seniors invited the freshmen to open for them. Naturally, Kathy was there . . .

Walden Players

Kathy is working on ideas for CD cover art for our new favorite musical group.

Music and light - delight our ears and your eyes. Walden Players will soon be featured on our website. They're awesome!

High School Play

Kathy continues to serve as advisor to the local high school publications staff and loves training student photographers. But that job requires her to take some photos herself. Here's the cast in rehearsal for their latest production . . .
