Whew!
The storm is finally over and our plow service just left. We measure nearly 13" of snow (after settling overnight) and the drifts are over 4' high. The snow piles resulting from plowing are about 6'. Local shopping malls closed and Cleveland's airport was closed all night - first time in 45 years. We got off easy compared to some suburbs where snowfall was over 20".

This winter maintenance is a pain isn't it? I had almost 1/8" of sand on some of our bricks I had to clear off before the party. Plus a bunch of little berries, leaves and small sticks the wind has been knocking out of the trees. Brooms and shovels just don't work that well on this stuff. But the blower/vac you guys got me for my birthday made pretty easy work out of it. It did take me a few minutes to show Amy how to work it - but the yard looked great for the party!
(Ok, Amy did get to use the blower first but I didn't make her clean the whole yard by herself!)
Then again I'm hitting 80 in my office with the door open already today - I know my turn with tough weather is just around the corner ;)
